Matthew H Podowitz, Volunteer Consultant since 1996 Matthew is a career management consultant focused on assisting his clients improve the return on their investments in operations and information technology and has over fifteen years of experience. He is a Professional Member of the Institute of Management Consultants, an organization working to ensure consistent standards and ethics in the practice of management consulting. In addition to his professional responsibilities with a "Big 4" professional services firm, he offers volunteer management consulting assistance to charitable non-profit organizations free-of-charge. Matthew has offered such assistance for the past ten years and donated between 50 and 100 hours of his time annually. Matthew is seeking opportunities to assist charitable non-profit organizations that: Matthew does not limit his assistance to charitable organizations associated with any particular religion or denomination. Without exception, he will not provide assistance to any organization advocating hatred, discrimination or violence of any kind. Matthew generally tailors services to be provided based on a brief assessment of the needs of the individual charitable organization. However, he is most frequently asked to help: - improve the efficiency of board structures and governance processes;
- facilitate better communications among directors at and between board meetings;
- improve the day-to-day operating efficiency of the organization;
- identify means to reduce operating expenses;
- identify opportunities to leverage low-cost or free information technology.
Please note Matthew does not engage directly in fundraising activities, preferring instead to focus his efforts on reducing expenses or stretching the value of every dollar spent by charitable non-profit organizations.
