| Today Today, VolunteerConsultants is a small group of professional management consultants who offer their services free of charge to a limited number of charitable non-profit organizations. We operate as individuals, source our own "clients" and do the best we can to make a difference. We encourage other professional management consultants to do the same, and offer knowledge, experience and advice to help them do it. Tomorrow Organizationally, VolunteerConsultants will be registered as a 501(c)3 charitable non-profit organization in the states of Delaware or Georgia. In addition to appointing the officers required by law, VolunteerConsultants will form a board of directors consisting of management consulting professionals, non-profit organization executives and other advisors. The board will form and operate committees to nominate future board members, qualify non-profit organizations for assistance and maintain the quality of service delivered by VolunteerConsultants. VolunteerConsultants' primary operations will consist of: Identifying and qualifying charitable non-profit organizations in need of consulting assistance; Identifying and qualifying consultants willing and able to provide pro-bono support to charitable non-profit organizations; Matching demand with supply and facilitating execution of pro-bono consulting services; and, Continuously improving the quality of services available to charitable non-profit organizations through VolunteerConsultants.
In support of the above operations VolunteerConsultants will also: Facilitate the development of consulting projects, workplans, template deliverables and other delivery aids based on the needs of charitable non-profit organizations; and, Document and communicate the business case for pro-bono consulting to independent consultants and consulting firms.
The key performance measurements for VolunteerConsultants will be: The total number of hours of service volunteered by volunteer consultants annually; The equivalent dollar value of services provided by volunteer consultants annually; The percentage of requests for assistance by charitable non-profit organizations fulfilled; The frequency of positive feedback from charitable non-profit organizations following completion of consulting engagements facilitated by volunteer consultants.
In the course of its operations, VolunteerConsultants will: Facilitate delivery of services by volunteer consultants rather than delivering services directly; Minimize operating expense through the use of low- and no-cost technology; Select donated resources and services over purchased resources and services unless significant savings can be obtained through limited investment; Operate in compliance with leading practices for charitable non-profit organizations or create new leading practices as appropriate.
